Illogic erupted into the Columbus hip hop scene when at the young age of 16 he claimed the 1996 Columbus Hip Hop Expo MC battle, surrounded by what would come to be the core of the emerging bustown sound. He dropped his debut in 1998 on weightless recordings, “Unforeseen shadows”. The release was a landmark show featuring Can Ox, Aesop Rock, Rjd2, Blueprint, Mhz (Camu & Copywrite), Atoms Fam…..the movement had started..

Ten years later Illogic has shared the stage with Rakim, Casual, Psalm One, Atmosphere, Eyedea, Brother Ali, The Roots, Common, One Be lo, Modill, Royce Da 59, and many other nationally recognized acts. His diligence in the studio is nearly unmatched, unleashing 6 studio albums in 7 years.
